Last year Windows 11 became available as a free upgrade. This offers a new Windows experience, with Windows 11 being the biggest update released since 2015.
When can I get Windows 11?
Upgrading to a new Operating System can take time and Lugo want to reduce the impact this may cause. In the coming months we will offering the ability to schedule dates for those who wish to have Windows 11.
Do I have to upgrade to Windows 11?
No, you won’t be forced to upgrade. Windows 11 is an optional update, and one that Windows will look to promote regularly.
Please note, that currently you’re under no obligation to upgrade anytime soon. It is worth adding however that Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates from October 2025.
Will my computer work with Windows 11?
This depends on the age of your computer and its specification. Microsoft have provided a free online Windows 11 compatibility tool to assess whether your current computer, or a new laptop will work with Windows 11.
Should I upgrade to Windows 11?
Not immediately. Whilst it can be tempting, we always recommend avoiding the initial weeks for any unexpected issues. Microsoft’s updates to Windows have become a lot better over the past few years, it wouldn’t be a surprise if there were some teething problems initially,
This is especially the case with older computers that might not work properly with upgrading to the latest OS.
