Lugo has a long affiliation with Housing Associations in Scotland. Some of our team have been working with Housing Associations providing IT Support and Solutions for over 30 years.
IT Support for Housing Associations
We fully understand the expectations placed upon this sector including cyber security adherence, Freedom of Information, and other regulatory factors. These are now a standard part of the daily operations of a Housing Association, often driven by the Scottish Housing Regulator.
As a dynamic IT Managed Services Provider, Lugo has helped Associations rise to this challenge by the measured use of technology appropriate to their requirements.
We stand out from the crowd by delivering technology and services that are individually matched to each Association. Our goal is to achieve the best possible business outcomes for each client.
Our Housing Association Lead Team
Our Business Development Lead for Housing Associations, Steven McGuire, has been working with Associations since the late eighties. During his career he has gained a vast knowledge of the sector having worked with many of Scotland’s Associations from as far afield as Invergordon to Stranraer. Steven is well known within the sector.
Fraser, Phil, Chris and Billy provide the project management, network design and high level IT Support function for most of our Housing Association clients. They are all highly qualified and skilled practitioners providing second and third line support to our helpdesk when required.
We Know Housing Association IT
Housing Associations require that suppliers demonstrate willingness to invest in their own staff to ensure they receive development and they are working in a good environment that promotes health and wellbeing. Here at Lugo, we allocate staff at least one training day per month. These go towards gaining industry certifications from suppliers such as Microsoft, SonicWall, Cisco and general industry training such as cyber security.
Having well qualified staff helps maintain our position as Microsoft Solution Partners, putting us in the top 1% of Microsoft Solution providers in the world. This gives us access to invaluable product training and support resources.

We Work With Housing Management Software Providers
This enables us to provide an all-encompassing IT service to our clients. This additional expertise puts us in a very strong position to continue providing excellent solutions to our Housing Association clients. We have good working relationships with Housing Management Software providers such as SDM, Capita, Aareon, MIS and Kypera.
We work closely with Housing Management System providers taking ownership of issues, ensuring that there are no ‘grey’ area’s where services may overlap, ensuring problems are always managed to a successful conclusion.
Lugo also works with suppliers ensuring any upgrade/replacement projects such as server replacements, or migration to the cloud, are delivered with minimum disruption and a certainty that the new services are compatible with existing or future applications.
